The inlet air-temperature probe (A) is best mounted at the top of the carburetor hat or "bell." Be suspicious if the reported temperature numbers seem high. (Is the CAT probe lying on the intake manifold?) Also visible in this photo is the turbine fan used to measure mass airflow (B). View Related Article
