After straightening the front bumper the best we could, we sprayed it with two coats of Rust-Oleum silver-metallic wheel paint. It doesn’t look as gaudy as it sounds, and the finish looks kinda like chrome if you squint a little. We also painted the grille-surround trim with the stuff and were pleased with the results. Putting the trim back on was one of the few hassles we ran into this weekend. These trim clips love to break and laugh at you as you try to reassemble them. We managed to salvage enough of them in working order to secure the grille surrounds in place. New replacements are available from companies like Goodmark, Classic Industries, and Brothers truck parts.
