The instructions indicate you should set the shift firmness to the full No. 7 position and then dial down if the shifts are too harsh. We left ours at No. 7 on both low and high dials, but we dialed down the low-rpm shift points to a -7 to nudge the big-block into the next higher gear at lower, part-throttle engine speeds. This produced pleasant, daily-driver shifts while still kicking us in the pants at WOT.
