Rear End Assembly Pinion Yoke
After installing the pinion in the case and slipping the restored pinion yoke over the pinion, Lee lubed the pinion nut washer and placed red thread-locking compound on the pinion nut threads. He used a 1/2-inch drive impact gun to slowly remove all the slack in the system and then carefully tightened the pinion nut just enough to create a slight drag when turning the pinion. Work carefully here because if you overtighten the crush sleeve, it must be replaced before you can try again.
