Late-model power steering pumps use a Saginaw fitting (identified by a small O-ring, arrow 1) for the pump's high-pressure side. Older muscle car power steering pumps use an inverted flare fitting (arrow 2). What's cool is you can remove the Saginaw fitting from the back of the newer pump and replace it with the older inverted flare fitting from an older pump-it bolts right in. This way, you may be able to reuse the original high-pressure power steering pump hose. Slick, yes? View Related Article
