Rear Suspension Tech Guide
|
One simple, inexpensive way to reduce axle tramp or wheelhop on any GM or Ford leaf spring rear suspension is with an additional main leaf. Trim the spring eyes from a used main leaf spring and add the leaf to an existing multileaf package. This will increase the overall spring rate, so removing a shorter leaf will help minimize the increase. Another trick is to clamp the forward ends of the spring to decrease the spring's tendency to wrap up. View Related Article
