Because the Ford supercharger uses an offset drive housing to clear the distributor, the system uses a fixed idler pulley and bracket that bolt to the bottom of the blower snout-and a spring-loaded idler. To adjust the idler tension, you must loosen the nut on the threaded rod on the back of the idler and let the pulley tension the belt. Measure the distance between the pulley support and the end of the fixed tube of the idler. If it is between 0.300 and 0.500 (a little less than 1/2 inch), then you can use thread locker to secure the mounting bolts to the idler support plate.
