The 410 is internally balanced, meaning you can use a neutral-balance flywheel or flexplate.
410 Six Pack Power
The peak power numbers shown below were made with 34 degrees of timing and the jets that were preinstalled in the carburetors. More interesting is the torque curve that hits 400 lb-ft at 2,750 rpm and stays there until past the horsepower peak. That's all four gears of tire smoke.

The distributor uses a standard... The distributor uses a standard magnetic pickup that we hooked to an MSD box for the dyno testing. The engine included an electronic ignition box for installation on a street machine. | The 273/318-inch engines are... The 273/318-inch engines are sometimes grouped separately from 340/360 engines because they have slightly different motor mounts. The new 340 block has provisions for both mounts, so it can be used as a replacement for any '64 to '03 small-block-equipped production chassis. That means the 410 is for factory-equipped 318 cars, such as a Duster. Another cool aspect of the 410 block is there are crank trigger bosses for use with fuel injection, so you can swap this short-block under your factory induction system if you are driving a late-model truck or something similar. | The cam is a hydraulic flat... The cam is a hydraulic flat tappet with 292/292 degrees of advertised duration (that's 248/248 at 0.050) and 0.508/0.508 lift on a 108 LSA. There are roller cams available for the LA block if you want to get that lift up near 0.650 and kill some driveability. |
