440 Mopar Edelbrock Performer Rpm Heads
The Edelbrock Performer RPM heads come with 2.14/1.81-inch valves and either 84cc or 88cc chambers. We chose 84cc.
440 Mopar Initial Build
We initially built and tested the 505 with an Edelbrock Performer RPM dual-plane intake, which made gobs o' torque.
440 Mopar Headers
This 505 is intended for a '63 Plymouth, so we also included the price of a set of Tube Technologies Inc. (TTI) 2-inch primary tube headers that fit a '62-'65 Mopar B-Body. TTI is acknowledged as offering some of the best Chrysler headers on the market.
440 Mopar Edelbrock Victor Swap
After the first of tests where the dual-plane made so much torque it overpowered the dyno, Westech's ace parts swappers Ernie Mana Sr. and Jr. swapped on the Edelbrock Victor and picked up a worthwhile 30 hp at 5,900 rpm.
440 Mopar Demon 850 Cfm Carburetor
To top off the motor, we bolted on a Mighty Demon 850-cfm carburetor to ensure we had sufficient airflow so that the big Mopar wouldn't be starving for air.
