Hooker Super Comp headers with 2-inch primaries helped with the expelled gases, and Holley carbs, an MSD distributor, and a 6AL ignition were used for all the testing. The oil system for this test is Milodon all the way from the pan and windage tray to the pump and pump drive. The massive dual-pickup oil pump gave us 85 psi consistently, despite only being able to use one of the 12AN pickup lines because of header-clearance issues. Chrysler guys will be relieved to know that Procomp makes a fabricated valve cover that will clear an MSD distributor. Procomp doesn't sell retail, so if you want a pair, you'll need to contact one of its distributors, such as JMS Racing Engines.
