Performing a proper burnout will add years to a Turbo 400's durability. The best plan is to avoid the 1-2 shift in the water. If that's not possible, shift early before putting heat into the tires in Second gear. Safeguarding the trans also requires driving out of the burnout using throttle and not lifting as the car exits the water. The shock of the tires hooking can also roll the sprag. View Related Article
