The seal strips are held in place with Phillips-head screws, some of which are blocked by the glass, even with the window lowered all the way. Since the window-channel weatherstripping is also going to be replaced, we decided to remove the glass. The glass in this car is bolted to the sash rather than bonded to it, so removing it is relatively easy. Loosen the glass-to-sash bolts, and lower the window all the way.
