Next, we drained out the old oil, installed a new filter, and filled the crankcase with fresh lube. If you're dealing with an engine that hasn't run in a long time but don't plan to rebuild if not absolutely necessary, you may want to consider pre-lubing the engine with a drill motor to get the oil into the bearings before firing it. We plan on swapping out this six but we still wanted to see if it was any good.
