10 Bolt Rearend
The 8.5-inch 10-bolt axle required to bolt directly into a '67-'69 Camaro or Firebird can be found under '71-'74 Novas and their X-body GM clones, like Venturas, Omegas, and so on. Unfortunately, the 8.5 doesn't seem to have been the exclusive axle for these years, so you still have to I.D. it after finding a donor car (check the sidebar). Ours came from a '72 Nova. Yeah, we know--you don't see these cars in the junkyards by you anymore. Try eBay; we already know of a couple that have been scored there for decent bucks.
