It's hard to see the back of the engine when it's in the car, particularly in a first-gen Camaro, where the engine is pushed right up against the firewall. This shot illustrates just how close the oil port is to the intake manifold on the small-block Chevy (arrow). The manifold itself is another common source of oil leaks, as the end seals often fail or get forced out by crankcase pressure. View Related Article
