6. Another concern often raised with stroker pistons is that by locating the wristpin in the same piece of real estate as the oil rings (left) that oil control will not be as effective. That’s basically a non-issue, too. In our application, the ICON pistons come with a support rail that fits beneath the bottom oil ring and is probably stronger than the ring land on the piston. We won’t have any oil consumption problems with this combination.
