4. Scat Crankshafts provided the rotating assembly for this build. It consists of Scat’s 9000-series cast crank, 6-inch I-beam rods, and forged, Icon pistons. Options were limited to either a 20cc dish or flat-top pistons; we chose the dished pistons to keep the compression ratio below 11.0:1. Scat’s 9000-series cast cranks are much stronger than OE cast cranks and nearly as strong as some of the factory forgings from the 1960s and 1970s. Plus, the 6-inch rod stroker kits come internally balanced, so we can reuse our 350 balancer and flywheel.
