Trans Cooler Basics
Perma-Cool produces two basic lines of transmission fluid coolers: the Thin Line coolers and the Heavy Duty cooler kits. Thin Line coolers come equipped with 1⁄2-inch aluminum tubes. Heavy Duty coolers have 5⁄8-inch tubes for increased capacity and are best suited to extreme duty like towing and racing. Perma-Cool trans coolers incorporate the company's "Turbulator" fin system, a tube insert that directs hot fluid between its solid core and its outer wings.
