We installed the new heads with a pair of Fel Pro PN 1011-2 composition head gaskets with a 0.041-inch compressed thickness to keep the compression ratio close to the original 9.0:1. As always with a small-block Ford, make sure the gaskets are mounted properly, with the word Front (inset) facing the front of the block to ensure the water passages line up properly.
