Ten girls showed up for part one of the 2013 Miss CAR CRAFT Summer Nationals race wear contest, but only one could win. Her name: Ashley Cammela, 22, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, who was crowned during the all-new extended hours titled "Friday Night Lights." The contest was the first installment, the second was the bikini contest on Sunday. Girls trotted on stage, answered questions and strutted their stuff for the crowd. As you might expect, the race wear contents drew lots of spectators, many of which took photos and videos with their phones. On Sunday, the 2013 Miss CAR CRAFT Summer Nationals race wear contest featured the girls in bikinis. Both contests were filled with qualified women, but only two went home with a crown. On day 1, Ashley Cammela took home the win. On Sunday. Samantha Olmstead, 23, of Elk River, Minnesota was crowned the 2013 Miss CAR CRAFT Summer Nationals. Both women impressed the panel of judges, one with her knee-high boots, and the other in a sparkling bikini. It was great to see so many girls participate in the 2013 CAR CRAFT contest, it was by far one of the best race wear events we’ve had - drawing in well over 500 spectators to the main stage in the late afternoon.
