2012 Car Craft Summer Nationals participants will get a chance to show off their engine building skills in the COMP Cams® Engine Builder Duel on July 20th – 22nd. The COMP Cams® Engine Builder Duel is one of the most popular events at major car shows around the country. In 2012, COMP® will bring the competition to the Car Craft Summer Nationals, taking place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul, MN, on July 20th – 22nd, and featuring over 4,000 cars. The contest, presented by Snap-On Tools, pits two, two-man teams against each other to see which one can completely assemble and crank a Small Block Chevy engine in the shortest amount of time. Equipped with nothing but their knowledge, contestants are given the appropriate parts and tools to complete the build, but may not ask questions of anyone in the crowd. First place winners will each be rewarded with a $250 COMP Cams® gift certificate, while runner-up team members will each receive a $125 gift certificate. The Engine Builder Duel will take place at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, July 20th and Saturday, July 21st, and at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 22nd. If you think you have what it takes to compete, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and your team member’s name for a chance to take part.
