Day 3 of the 2010 Car Craft Summer Nationals
By Glen Wilkinson, Photography by Glen Wilkinson
Another year, another taste of automotive heaven. The 2010 Car Craft Summer Nationals presented by GM Performance Division came to close Sunday but not before we lit up some rubber, redlined some engines, crowned a new Real Street Eliminator champ and checked out some gals in bikinis. Yes, bikinis.
We had a vicious storm roll through the area Saturday night (doubt anyone around here will forget it soon) and Sunday started a bit gray but dry. The sun quickly showed up but the competitors in the TCI Burnout Contest tried there best to blot out its rays with titanic clouds of tire smoke. The huge crowd watching had no problem with that.
Immediately after the crowd moved to the Miller Electric Main Stage for the announcement of the Real Street Eliminator winners and, of course, the Miss Car Craft Summer Nationals.
We'll let you know who the 2010 Real Street Eliminator champion is in an upcoming issue of Car Craft Magazine. To find out who is the new Miss Car Craft Summer Nationals you'll have to check out the pictures below and head over to the CCSN video pages. Tough break, eh?
