An engine-stand view of the LS1 reveals its coil-per-plug ignition, deep-skirt block construction, and double-walled exhaust manifolds among many other things. Unlike the Corvette LS1, where the throttle is controlled with an electronic "fly-by-wire" cableless system, the F-car LS1s will utilize a conventional system in which the position of the butterfly in the throttle body is controlled by a cable running from the gas pedal to the throttle body.
