Mopars At The Strip - Project Build

Can We Buy And Build A Car From Parts At A Single Swap Meet?

Mopar At The Strip Rig Full Of Parts
We got our idea from looking at this rig-go to a show, buy a heap and a bunch of parts, and build a car.

OK, we couldn't find a shell despite covering every inch of the car corral. The closest thing was this '70 Barracuda being sold by Ed Briggs 'Cuda from Denver, Colorado. Ed's son, Jeff, was handling the transactions. It was mostly intact and it had a 440 between the fenders, but no transmission. The interior was crusty, and there were some rust issues on the quarters. He was asking $15,000 but ended up parting ways with it for $13,000.

We carefully eyed up our prospective purchase to see what we'd need to make it live again. Aside from the obvious quarter-panel rust and sketchy interior, the engine appeared complete, though it was almost certain to need a rebuild. Inside, it was clear that there were enough pieces missing or damaged that we would need to go on a serious shopping spree to get it back together. So we hit the swap meet and new-parts booths to see if we could make it complete again.
