The first dyno runs were made on the motor alone, and the findings were a bit confusing. The max horsepower readings came in at a somewhat disappointing 225; more odd was the way the power output went flat after 4,300 rpm, wavering slightly up and down around the same reading for more than 1,000 rpm before dropping off.
