With the Vortech Powercooler in place, the motor is mounted about ¾-inch lower than stock.

With the lowered engine and the shock towers angling in toward the bottom, the JBA shorty headers still fit, but it's tight.

Blowers work better when fed fresh, cool air, so Troy fabricated an air-intake plenum for the supercharger fitted on the passenger-side shock tower and notched the air cleaner to clear the inlet tube...

...This setup required a tunnel of sorts ducted through the passenger-side inner fenderwell to an air filter mounted about where Troy is holding it. It will be hidden behind the bumper and front valance.

At this mock-up stage, the engine packaging allows all components to operate as they are supposed to. It's critical to make these determinations now, since there can be no afterthoughts once the engine bay is painted. The result is what Troy calls "industrial"--simple, well-executed, top-shelf car crafting!
