Readers' Letters
Good Day
I sent an e-mail to a friend in Canada to see what he was up to. He replied, "Hey Kam, I'm in Vegas at the Strip helping a guy run his Comp Eliminator altered with a 377-inch small-block making 1,200 hp! It has a blower and is running on meth." As I went back to work at my desk job I thought to myself, "I guess he is doing OK."

The Normals
I heard her before I saw her. She was 150 feet away and running across the parking lot as fast as God would let her (bless her heart). And she's screaming, "Your car is on fire!" I thought to myself, coooool . . . the flamethrowers are working! She ran right up to my car and was freakin' when she couldn't find a door handle. So I roll down the window, and she screams for me to get out. I flip the switch and turn off the throwers, then ask her if the fire is out. She says it is, and I tell her I was just checking to see if they were workin' and I'm sorry I scared her. And she proceeds to make comments about my parentage, my I.Q., tells me I need therapy (true), and my ride is a deathtrap, what with no door handles and the big fireballs and all. Then she says something about the cops and I decide it's time to go. As I roll out of the lot I throw one last fireball out the back and she does a single-finger salute to me with both hands. You were right in your editorial (Normal People Versus Us, June '07); the normals don't get us.

So I know my car isn't superfast or anything, but I bought a system from a friend off his '03 Honda Civic and am trying to install it. The problem is that I can't seem to figure out a way to totally drain the gas out of the tank so I can drill for the injection hose. If I drill a hole in the tank for the NOS to go in, won't gas just get everywhere? Or should I drill the hole and let it drain that way, then install it? I Googled for instructions but didn't find much. Thanks. Posted by RevMonster
