There Aren't Legions Of Racers Lining Up To Compete But That Hasn't Dimished The Level Of Competition

The suspension of the Interceptor is surprisingly stock, using '06 police-spec Tokico shocks and springs; the latter are slightly trimmed to reduce ride height. The front brakes are from Baer-an off-the-shelf 14-inch kit designed for Marauders, which can be seen peeking from behind the massive 18x10 BBS wheels that mount Michelin Pilot Sport II 295/35-18 rubber. Although the team managed to shave about 400 pounds from the big Vic, they claim nearly all of it returned in the form of fluid coolers and associated plumbing. We can personally attest that despite the 4,300-pound curb weight, the Vic felt amazingly nimble on the L.A. Sheriff's Department test course at Pomona, even touching 135 mph on the main straight, which isn't really straight and definitely isn't smooth.

The car is still being tweaked here and there, and it's likely to surface at some industry events in the near future. -Terry McGean
