You're Confused?
I am confused. In your "In & Out" list (Straight Scoop, Aug. '03) you state that LT1s are out, and LS1s are in. However, a few pages later there was a great article about easy mods for the LT1 ("Late-Model Builder's Guide: The Gen II LT1"). If I didn't know better, I would think you were running for public office.

RSE Thanks
Jeff, Marko, Terry, and Henry: I want to thank you for including an AMC in Real Street Eliminator. It was a great pleasure to meet you guys and the other competitors. What a great bunch of gearheads, nice cars, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thanks.

Chevelle Mixup
The "15 Dyno Proven Horsepower Combos" story (Dec. '03) was quite a surprise for me. You see, the '70 Chevelle SS on page 33 is mine. My Chevelle is actually (as the license plate reads) a '70 SS 454. On the dyno, the rear-wheel horsepower was 439 hp with 460 lb-ft of torque. The engine was built by Jeff Cheney of Cheney motor sports in Ham Lake, Minnesota. These are the real specs for my Chevelle in the picture:
