1969 Chevy Nova - Heads Up News
Street-Legal Drag Racing
Current points leader Jeremy Taylor from Holt Summit, Missouri, once again took the number-one qualifying spot with a 9.90 at 135 mph, with Black, McDonagh, and Hendricks following in that order less than a bumper length behind. Second place qualifier Black managed to advance to the finals against Taylor, but was disqualified for a nitrous-related rules infraction, handing the win to Taylor. With four races now history, Taylor appears to be well on his way to a repeat championship, but there's still a close race between Camella and McDonagh for Second and Third. Keep in mind that bonus points will be awarded to those who compete in five of the six events, and since the records have been cleared from Black's infraction, additional points are still up for grabs. It's going to get real interesting from here on out. Next stop, Atlanta Dragway in Atlanta, Georgia.
