One tight spot for some stroker packages is the camshaft. The 383 small-block Chevy, for example, often needs to have the stock rod-bolt head clearanced on two rods to clear a couple of camshaft lobes. Another alternative is to use a small-base-circle camshaft or aftermarket rods with smaller profiles.
