The shift light is activated by a module that we hid under the shifter console in the Camaro (see below). The 3,000-rpm chip is for testing the shift light; we used a 5,400-rpm chip at the track. We mounted the light in the factory shifter-light position under the A/C vents. At the preset rpm, the amber hits you right in the eye. It works killer with the factory tach without announcing to the world that you’re using it. View Related Article
