Chrysler celebrated its 100th birthday today, and we were right there to photograph it. While at the LA Auto Show, the American manufacturer revealed all-new, limited edition 2014 Dodge Challenger and 2014 Dodge Charger anniversary models.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition will come with a 305 hp V-6 engine or an optional 375 hp V-8. The car will feature 20x8-inch polished five-spoke aluminum wheels with Granite Crystal pockets that match the grille. For added panache, the car will come in a variety of unique colors: Pitch Black, Bright White, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Ivory Tri-Coat, Phantom Black Tri-Coat, Header Orange, and High Octane Red pearl. The front-fender badges will read “Dodge Est. 1914,” along with a script “Challenger.” The interior will see an improvement with heated Nappa leather sport seats.
The 2014 Dodge Charger 100th Anniversary Edition will see the 300 hp V-6 or optional 370 hp/395 lb-ft of torque 5.7-liter HEMI V-8. The Charger shares the same paint choices and wheels with the Challenger. Both cars will see Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreens in the dash, but only the Charger will come with Beats by Dr. Dre audio technology.
Look for the 2014 Dodge Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions in dealerships nationwide the first quarter of 2014. The Charger will set you back $2,200 more than the SXT Plus or R/T Plus trim levels. The Challenger costs $2,500 more than the Challenger SXT Plus or R/T Plus trim levels.
