Some guys who don't really dig Bufords like to overly stress the "ick" in Buick. Bill Wojcik isn't one of those guys-especially when it comes to '66-'67 Skylarks like this '67 GS400: "My mother owned a '67 GS400 when I was young. I took my driver's license test in it." In a successful attempt to relive those days, Bill scored this car for a grand. Another 13 G's made his GS good enough to be feature worthy at the '98 CC Summer Cruise in St. Paul-right next door to where Bill resides in Minneapolis.

While Bill latched onto the GS for $1,000, it was pretty much a corncob at the time of purchase. These photos show he had his hands plenty full in the form of a complete body-off redo.

Stance is all about a set of Weld Pro Stars (15x3.5s in front and 15x8s out back) with Mickey Thompson skinnies up front and BFG P275/60R15 Drag Radials on the smoky end. They've been put to good use on the strip where Bill has run a 12.91 at 103 mph. The mostly stock front suspension has urethane bushings and Competition Engineering 90/10 shocks, and one coil is removed from each spring. The rear is also basic stuff with CE 50/50 shocks, urethane bushings, and reinforced upper and lower control arms.
