Big-block power is in the form of a 396 from a '69 Chevelle. The venerable standards make it go, including bits from Edelbrock, Crane, and Comp Cams. The cast-iron heads have stainless 2.19/1.88 valves and cap TRW pistons to produce a 10.25:1 compression. DynoMax headers connect to a TA Performance exhaust system and Flowmaster mufflers. An HEI with a Moroso curve kit provides the fire. A TH400 with a B&M torque converter turns a GM 10-bolt with 3.42:1 gears.
