The Camaro went 13.30 from the factory and was featured in Hot Rod magazine as a build. It went as fast as 10.60 with the stock LS1 short-block. The next step was expensive. To get the Camaro into the low 10s, Jud Massingill added an LS6 short-block and heads, then changed the engine again to a C5-R block that displaced 427 inches to get the car into the low 9s.
