The rear quarter-panels have been extended by 8 inches to accommodate 15 chrome-tipped louvers. Barris went high tech and installed a red, yellow, and green light system between the rear louvers that was way ahead of its time. The paint finish between the louvers is Pebble White. That paint treatment is also used on the dual quick-release fuel-filler caps mounted high on the rear quarter-panels. Racing style fuel-filler caps were quite popular in the '60s.
