Why: John picked up the Buick in New York State and drove it back to Ontario. It had 90,000 miles on it, and it sees action at St. Thomas Dragway where it ran 15.80 all day with a stock 2.56 gear and a girthy 4,500-pound weigh in.
He Says: I dialed it in at 16.10 and ran 15.80s. I don't understand bracket racing.
Who: Ron Johnson
Where: La Harpe, IL
What: '69 Dodge Dart F/Stock
Why: In 1969, Cragar and Dodge got together with Car Craft magazine to build an F/Stock drag car to give away at the Winternationals. It made it all the way to the finals before being given away in the Cragar contest. Ron spotted it parked near his home and snapped some photos for us. He doesn't know who the current owner is.
