485ci AMC, 1,300 hp in a Gremlin

By far the most radical car at the Byron Dragway wheelstanding competition (see "We Ran for Our Freakin' Lives," May '05) was Brian Ambrosini's orange '74 Gremlin. With an average e.t. in the low 8s and a trap speed around 165 mph, the Gremmie is nuts. Brian uses sick AMC big-block power to get all four wheels off the ground repeatedly, so we thought we'd show you the mill.
