Among the NHRA door-slammer classes, few cars elicit more excitement than a pair of SS/AA Hemi Barracudas carrying the front wheels on their way to 8.50s at 150 mph. Many Hemis boast Super A pedigrees, but Jim DeFrank & Sons' classic yellow and red '68 Barracuda is probably the most recognizable. Jim and his driver Rick Houser have been twisting the tails of assorted Hemis for decades, so we thought it would be fun to take a quick tour through their newest Super Stock Hemi built by the venerable Joe Allread.
