"My name is Jim Gustin from Winchester, Massachusetts," started the e-mail from, well, Jim Gustin of Winchester, Massachusetts. "I was reading that you folks are getting short on cyber sites. Maybe if you're desperate enough, you'd like to check out our hot rod club site. It's masterfully done by the club's secretary and his son, Paul and Phil Saulnier." Hey, desperation is our first, middle and last name! Just call us "Despy" for short.

"Our rods are '48s and older," continued Mr. Gustin, "and range from high-tech to low buck beaters. I think the readers will find something for everyone's taste. Even our newer daily drivers pictured under rides will spin your crank."

Though we prefer spinning our own cranks in the privacy of our own home while wearing a Playtex glove, Gustin is right; there's a lot of solid stuff on the Dominators site. It's nice to know that a group that's been around since 1957 can embrace Internet technology. The coding here is elegant, fun to navigate, and worthwhile to spend some time with. And their cars, like Rod McLane's sweet '48 Chevy Panel Delivery are indeed tasty.
