1984 Monte Carlo - Resident Evil

A quick glance won't come close to doing this '84 Monte Carlo justice. Benieth its sinister black facade lies no less than 1000 hours of extensive bodywork and subtle details that make this Monte unlike any other ever witnessed.

Monte Carlo Interior
Larry enlisted Rick Ouster from Riverside Auto Trim and Glass in Kankakee, Illinois, to revive the interior by swapping out the factory material for tweed. The rest is mainly stock except for the Billet Specialties Indy steering wheel and a Sony CD player that helps tickle the eardrums via a set of Orion amplifiers and subwoofers.

Monte Carlo Trunk Brake Cooling Ducts
Out back, it's the same impressive story. While most people try to steer us clear of what's hiding inside the trunk, Larry was quick to point out the functional brake cooling ducts he fabricated into the quarter-panel.

Monte Carlo Engine
Residing under that long hood is a 350ci small-block built by Steve Gagnier, who is now an engine builder for DEI in Mooresville, North Carolina. The small-block is outfitted with an Edelbrock Pro Flow fuel-injection system and aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and cam. Exhaust duties are assigned to a coated set of Hooker Super Comp 13⁄4-inch headers that exit to 3-inch piping and two-chamber Flowmaster mufflers. Those valve covers are the real deal and were actually used on one of Dale Earnhardt's Winston Cup cars.
