At first glance, you wouldn’t think much of it. However, Valentine’s Day is filled with more than just love for your significant other. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’ll know we mean cars, too. Specifically, the 2015 Ford Mustang.
The affinity we share towards our vehicles can be just as special if not a bit selfish at times. Of course, it’s all for good reason. Getting your wheels date-ready is half the battle for some. That said, what better way to chauffeur your date than with a freshly cleaned ride? Love birds around the world are cleaning, washing, vacuuming, detailing and waxing their cars in preparation for their big date night. Valentine’s Day is completely about cars! Guaranteed, there won’t be a dirty or dusted car out on the roads tonight or being valeted.
With love in the air this February 14th for Valentine’s Day, why not? After all, the fastest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, right? With that in mind, Ford shows its love affair with the 2015 Ford Mustang by 3D-printing the car, of course, in candy form. That’s right; Ford revealed an all-new miniature chocolate and peppermint candy in the form of your favorite late-model muscle car.
According to Ford, the process began with a partnership with 3D systems and The Sugar Lab in Los Angeles, California to create this awesome little Chocolate Mustangs. First, a digital mapping of the Ford Mustang is programmed into the CAD program.
From there, the digital version is programmed into the 3D printers. Finally, the printer spits out an unmistakable, 4x2-inch, delicious Ford Mustang.
While these edible, 3D-printed chocolate Ford Mustangs were created for this one-time-only, Ford is considering licensing these application for the future. Whet your appetite on that!
