2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Debuts in Frankfort

The Fifth-generation Chevy pony car releases a redesigned drop-top to Europe

Since the fifth-generation of the Chevrolet Camaro released its concept to the world in 2006, we’ve done nothing but drool over the design. Every year since that preliminary Camaro was announced, we’ve been pumped to report the news to our readers each time there is an update. We’re here to disclose that the revamped 2014 Chevrolet Camaro convertible has debuted at the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

"Camaro has always been associated with iconic design, high performance and driving fun, and we are particularly proud of the new coupe and convertible models," said Dr. Thomas Sedran, President and Managing Director, Chevrolet Europe. "They’ve incorporated new high-tech features that add extra convenience and give customers even more value for their money."

The all-new Camaro, both coupe and convertible, will feature upgrades primarily to aerodynamics for better cooling at high speeds. In case you’re behind on our previous stories, here are the bullet points:

  • Front fascia has a wider lower grille and a narrower upper grille

  • Functional hood vent

  • Sculptural deck lid, horizontal lamps and a diffuser

  • 6.2L V-8 engine
