Had to show you this one
Who: Ray Smith
Where: Richardson, TX
What: '84 Chevrolet El Camino
Why: C'mon, look at this thing. It has a 600hp 383 with a Cola steel crank, Olivier rods, SRP 13.0:1 pistons, and Pro Action heads that have been ported to flow 330 cfm. Even better is the monster Lunati solid roller with a stupid 310/309 duration and 0.700 lift. He has to run 110-octane gasoline through the tunnel ram and twin 500 carbs. Of course, it has 3-inch Flowmasters with 3-inch electric cutouts so the guys in the next state can hear the 7,500-rpm shift points. We are so proud.
He Says: It's mostly a cruiser, but it will run low 11s.
Send Burnouts!!Don't be sensible, live a little! Send your burnout photos and be the king of all guys who cannot or will not do their own burnouts.
If you send them via e-mail to CarCraft@primedia.com, always send large files. That's at least 500k and 5x5 inches at 300 dpi (1,500x1,500 pixels). If you don't know what we're talking about, ask a 12-year-old kid. Send tangible photos to Car Craft, 6420 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048.
