Ostensibly, this trip's purpose was to rail against The Man and his coiffed and well-executed road trip. True to its nature, the Anti untied us with self-engineered instruments of salvation and whisked us through the barren stretches of Los Padres and into a fishing town bookended by bourgeois seaside retreats. But first, we stopped for doughnuts at Turbonetics. Each year, the CC staff and other hangers-on plan a trip to get the cars out of the garage and onto the road. In the past, we've run through the desert to Vegas or Phoenix for drag racing at Firebird or cruising at The Pavilions. This year we eschewed the flats for the foothills north of Los Angeles. Starting with a tour of Turbonetics in Simi Valley, California, we rolled north through Ojai (pronounced "oh high"), and hooked west through the towns of Cuyama and New Cuyama to hit the coastal community of Morro Bay, home of the Cruisin' Morro Bay car show and street cruise. It was the largest Anti Tour in recent history. If you missed it, go to CarCraft.com or Facebook.com/CarCraftMag to check it out and see what we are doing next. As we approached the first stop on the trip, we noticed this Camaro 5 sitting in the parking lot at Turbonetics. It’s probably no accident that it had a T76 turbo helping the LS3 make 614 rwhp.As we approached the first stop on the trip, we noticed this Camaro 5 sitting in the parki If you like turbos, you missed a killer tour of the Turbonetics Simi Valley facility.
