This pseudo Marauder belongs to Roy Murray. It is actually a '98 Crown Victoria that was owned by a Bondurant driving instructor before Roy bought it. The car is stock except for the lowering springs and 2.5-inch exhaust with 40-series Flowmasters. The front bumper, spoiler, and front springs were built specifically by Jack Roush for the Bondurant driving school vehicles, so you probably can't get a set for yourself.

We showed up at Speed World and wind had closed it for the night. We did see a rattlesnake, though.

On the way home, we stopped at Desert Gardens Cars near Quartzite, Arizona. The cars were nice, and the prices reflected that. Check them out at desertgardenscars.com.

The coup de grace had to be the discovery of Gary Wells' totally pimp '64 El Camino. We couldn't resist the '80s vibe and pastel-sherbet color. We set up this shoot with as many palm trees as possible to relive 1988. This is the best car ever.

The second destination was the Pavilions in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the big car show. It is supposedly the largest one on the West Coast. Only the finest meats and cheeses were served at...umm...the McDonald's.

We spotted this Monte in Scottsdale. It gave us some good ideas about how to finish our '85 SS project car.

The only Camaro belonged to Brian Waller. He drove the '68 out from L.A. with us then disappeared into parts unknown. Brian originally built this car with an 11.5:1 327, a TH350, and a 10-bolt. Twenty years later, it has the same paint, a crate ZZ430 engine, a 700-R4, CalTracs, and Beyern BMW wheels.
