Every time we look at these photos, we call our rollcage guy and ask him how he's doing.

Thanks To The Chassis Guy
Chuck Goupil of North Tonawanda, New York, walked away from this high-speed accident during the final round of qualifying for Top Sportsman at the IHRA Canadian Nationals.

Goupil lost control of his '63 Corvette, Dream Chaser, as the car approached the left lane at Toronto Motorsports Park. The car appeared to straighten out briefly, then made a hard right turn, hitting the right-side wall and overturning. As you can see, the blower was completely sheared off of the manifold. The 'cage held Goupil in place during the 175-mph slide through the traps. After several anxious minutes, Goupil was able to exit the vehicle under his own power.
