Brian Anderson
'64 Rambler
427ci twin-turbocharged small-block Chevy
1,642 rear wheel horsepower
The cylinder heads on Brian's twin-turbo 427 are most often found on Sprint Cars and Comp Eliminator drag race motors. The exhaust actually exits to the front of the engine compartment.>
Brian was the top dog coming into the finals at Vegas, boosting his program significantly between the qualifier runs at the Summit Racing Summer Event earlier in the year. He started with a whole new engine, killer Brodix race heads, a second turbo, relying on E85 instead of 93-octane pump gas. It's the engine alternative of jacking up the radiator cap and slipping a whole new car underneath. He must have figured that everyone would step up. He just upped the ante more than everyone else.
