Source Interlink Media Honors Carroll Shelby

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the magazine and book will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation

Shelby Check

This past summer, Source Interlink Media honored Carroll Shelby, one of the automotive world's most beloved icons, by unveiling a special tribute magazine and limited-edition hardbound coffee table book, produced under the direction of Motor Trend magazine with assistance from the editors of Automobile, Hot Rod, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, and Mustang Monthly magazines.

The special 132-page magazine tribute, which went on sale Aug. 3 and is available on newsstands, features stories about the legend himself, along with original articles reprinted from vintage issues of Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Sports Car Graphic, and Automobile magazines. Editorial pieces about Mr. Shelby's companies, including the 50th anniversary of Shelby American Inc. and the establishment of the Carroll Shelby Foundation, are printed alongside a variety of incredible images enthusiasts can't find anywhere else.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the magazine and book will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation, established by Mr. Shelby to provide financial support for children battling life-threatening illnesses and to promote continuing education.

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, Chris Argentieri, president of Source Interlink Media, LLC, presented Executive Director Jenni Shreeves of the Carroll Shelby Foundation with a check from proceeds generated from the sale of these two special publications. In addition, Donald Farr, editor of Mustang Monthly, was also on hand to share some of his personal stories about working with the legendary Shelby throughout his career.
